Identifying Valuables and Essentials
When we are doing a cleanout, another thing we must watch for is locating documents that may be missing, valuables such as jewelry, sometimes guns, and any personal belongings that someone may want or need.
We also separate, sort, and move them to a clean location for the items to be viewed and a decision made as to what to do with them after.
Cleaning and Sanitization
Once everything has been removed, we do a basic cleaning of the interior, and we then sanitize the home to be free of odors that may be lingering, and this may include pests, or bacteria.
We want the space to be able to be clean, and functional for its next life.
Plus, cleaning out clutter reduces possible fire hazards, eliminates pests, and improves air quality.

Do we buy hoarder houses?
We have. On occasion someone calls and doesn’t want anything to do with the whole house and the contents, so we will make an offer that also justifies the condition. Plus we also do cleanouts for moving sales, downsizing sales, and just regular estate sales.
Real Estate agents do call us to do a cleanout of everything. This could be from items that didn’t sell at their estate sale, or they just need all of the contents out so the house can be sold.
